Cyber Software Developer
Harbor Labs is currently seeking candidates for the Cyber Software Developer position. This position works predominantly with the Senior Research Scientists to create balanced technical solutions to meet the security requirements of the company’s clients. This position calls for a highly technical problem-solver who understands IT systems architectures, security, software, virtualization, and hardware, and can lead other engineers to the resolution of problems in design, development, and operations.
Typical Activities Include:
Build and maintain automation, tools, and data-systems in support of the company’s commercial product offerings
Interact directly with clients to solicit requirements and generate SOWs
Work with staff cyberscientists to design, spec, build and client cyber solutions
Education:
Preferred education level: Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline. Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering preferred. Graduate degree is desirable.
Required Qualifications:
More than 5 years’ experience in related areas
5 years or more experience in an engineering/network development environment supporting multiple concurrent tasks/projects
Experience and expertise in all aspects (application, network, operations, social) of cybersecurity
Familiar with Systems Engineering and its application to the development of IT solutions
Familiar with Software Engineering methodologies (Agile in particular)
Experience with Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) and Command Line Interfaces (CLI) supporting software applications
Knowledgeable of continuous improvement frameworks (ITIL, CMMI, ISO, and PMI)
Knowledgeable in Object Oriented programming languages (Java, C++)
Ability to present concepts and plans to senior management
Strong technical communication and leadership skills to lead investigations with engineers of multiple disciplines
Ability to work well with internal technical staff and external customers and technology partners
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
Knowledge of medical equipment cyber security principles and documentation
UL 2900-2-1 Requirements
MDS2
Patch validation
FDA OS patch regulations
FDA reporting
ICS-CERT reports
Knowledge of PHI handling and HIPAA requirements
